A Milestone Asylum Case

In one such case, our firm convinced the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to reverse a ruling. In Boer-Sedano v. Gonzales, the court ruled that the Immigration Court erred in ordering the deportation of a gay Mexican national to his home country. Mr. Boer-Sedano had been repeatedly sexually and physically abused by a Mexican policeman and fled to the U.S. Our firm successfully argued that Mr. Boer-Sedano would be subject to further abuse and persecution if he were to be forced to return to Mexico.

The San Francisco Chronicle detailed the abuse the client suffered and the court's ruling in an August 13, 2005 article.
