Receptionist (Bilingual English/Spanish) Posted 7/13/21
Job Summary
Bean, Lloyd, Mukherji, & Taylor, LLP, a highly regarded and collegial immigration law firm
with offices in Oakland and San Francisco, seeks a full-time receptionist to be based in our
Oakland office. We are a small firm and our practice emphasizes removal defense, family-based
immigration, naturalization, waivers, and U Visas. The receptionist will be responsible for calls
at both the Oakland and San Francisco offices, but will primarily be based in the Oakland office,
with occasional days in the San Francisco office.
Although employees are given a lot of independence, we are a highly supportive and
collaborative office. Due to the high stress of the work itself, we care greatly about the mental
health of our staff and want to avoid burnout. While we are a busy, fast-paced office, we
encourage a strong work-life balance.
Receptionist Responsibilities and Duties
Duties are primarily communicating with clients and potential clients, scheduling consultations, translation/interpretation, filing, and general office administrative tasks. The receptionist must be comfortable communicating with clients by phone, video, email, and text, as well as in-person, and must be comfortable learning and employing new and varied technology (i.e., Excel, Adobe, LawPay, RingCentral, and more).
Receptionist Qualifications and Skills
Experience in immigration law is a big plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Because most of our clients are monolingual Spanish speakers, fluency in Spanish and the ability to
write well in both Spanish and English are required.
Position Details
Salary is based on skill and experience, with a range of $40k-$50k and the potential for
performance-based bonuses.
The position offers benefits including, three weeks’ paid vacation, fully paid health insurance,
and a 401(k) with employer match.
Application Requirements
Candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, three references, and a short formal writing
sample in Spanish to managing partners, Jesse Lloyd at [email protected] and Anita
Mukherji at [email protected]
